About Anna's Genealogy Pages
I first became interested in genealogy shortly after my grand mothers death in
1994. When sorting the house I found bibles and photos that belonged to my
ancestors, I was intrigued to find out more about these people. The tree has
expanded somewhat, I have tried to include all the siblings marriages and
births this has now led to a database of over 5000 names. It is constantly
being updated so if you don't find what you are looking for come back soon.
My family has two main geographical areas, Lancashire and Yorkshire. The
family from Lancashire were coal miners and cotton workers. The Bradfield
side worked mainly in the steel industry. Scythe grinders, knife cutlers some
farmers.
Bradfield in south Yorkshire is a beautiful rural village on the outskirts of
Sheffield, some of the most fantastic views any where.
Thank you to everyone who has given their input, too many to mention, and of
course without the internet I could not have got this far.
Enjoy and please come back
